Are Venus Bliss fat reduction treatments right for me? [+]
Venus Bliss is safe and effective for any skin type/skin tone! With a treatment time of only 25 minutes, treatments can even be done over a lunch break. The abdomen and sides of the stomach are the areas that are most commonly treated, but other areas may be considered as well.
Although Venus Bliss treatments are a great non-surgical alternative to liposuction and other procedures, Venus Bliss treatments are not intended to be a weight loss solution. You may wish to consider Venus Bliss treatments when you have already achieved your weight loss goals. Bliss treatments are meant to help you achieve fat loss in those troublesome areas such as the abdomen and/or flanks (sides of the stomach) areas. Individuals sustaining a healthy lifestyle and having a BMI of 30 or less are typically considered ideal candidates.
For safety or other reasons, you may not be able to have this treatment if you have/are:
- Body Mass Index (BMI) greater than 30 (Venus Bliss is not a weight loss solution)
- Less than 1 inch of pinchable fat in the treatment area
- Consistent unhealthy lifestyle -- such as an unhealthy diet supporting weight gain, minimal exercise or inactivity, excessive sun exposure, smoking, etc.
- Any active skin condition in the treatment area, such as sores, psoriasis, eczema, and rash
- History of skin disorders, keloids, abnormal wound healing, or very easy bruising
- Any recent surgical procedure in the treatment area within the last six to twelve months or before complete healing
- Breastfeeding, Pregnant or planning to become pregnant in the near future (treatment is not performed on pregnant individuals)
- Superficial metal or other implants in the treatment area

What is the Venus Bliss and how do the treatments work? What happens to the fat? [+]

Venus Bliss is an advanced medical aesthetic device that uses four diode laser applicators to deliver comfortable and effective non-invasive lipolysis, resulting in fat reduction. Special belts are used to secure the desired number of laser applicators into place, specifically targeting the areas of unwanted fat.
Contact cooling not only keeps the treatment comfortable, but this technology also allows this device to deliver the laser energy into deeper layers of tissue without causing any damage on the surface of the skin. The diode laser heats fat cells deep below the skin’s surface, in the adipose tissue layer, for a duration of 25 minutes.
The energy from the laser is absorbed by the fat cells and surrounding water, heating them up and causing fat cell shrinkage and destruction in a process called lipolysis. The destroyed fat and fat cells are then naturally metabolized out of the body through the lymphatic system.

What do I need to do to prepare for my treatment? [+]
There is not really anything you need to do to prepare for a Venus Bliss treatment other than maintaining a healthy lifestyle. You will want to continue your healthy lifestyle throughout your treatment series and into the future. Increase your water intake on the day of your treatment, both before and after the procedure. Male clients may be asked to shave the treatment area prior to the treatment in order to ensure proper contact of the laser applicators during the procedure.
What post-treatment care is required? [+]
There is no downtime post-treatment! You may return to your regular activities immediately after treatment. Drink plenty of water regularly on a daily basis. Up your water intake the day of your treatment, both before and after treatment and be sure to continue drinking plenty of water over the next few days after treatment. It is extremely important to continue to maintain a healthy lifestyle before, during, and after your treatment series.
How many fat treatments will I need and how often? [+]
For best results, clients will typically complete a series of 2 to 3 fat reduction treatments about every 4 to 6 weeks. Your treatment program will be customized to fit your personal needs. The total number of treatments needed will be recommended by your treatment provider.
